Lights out for earth hour

Monday, March 31st, 2008

Earth Hour started in Sydney, Australia in 2007. Great to hear cities all over our planet participated in this. Was fun to walk around the streets Saturday night and see the houses with their lights out. Still plenty with their lights on, but at least it’s a start in the right direction. Aussie singer/songwriter Pete Murray (his song ‘opportunity’ lyrics) performed on the night in Sydney. Even Youtube had a clip for earth hour too. News about earth hour from the UK.

Guns ‘N’ Roses Reckless Road

Friday, March 28th, 2008

Didn’t realize Guns n Roses book ‘Reckless Road’ by Marc Canter was already out. Can’t wait to read this book! It’s supposed to have a lot of early never before seen photo’s and stuff. -Read Interview- Also if you haven’t read em for awhile, here are the ‘My Michelle’ lyrics.

Throw in some more rock to listen to, why not? Read ‘You’re A Star’ lyrics

Now for their live performance at The Ritz back in 88. I don’t care what anybody say’s. I haven’t seen any other singer fully let go of themselves and so venomousley passionate as Axl Rose does in this vid of Night Train!

The ‘Bra’ could have been called the ‘Titzling’

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

Who invented the Bra? Couldn’t find the real answer on this one, too many people claiming so and so and blah, blah, invented it. So thought I’d go with this joke one. The bra was invented by an engineer of German extraction called Onto Titzling (nice play on words here lol). See India Uncut blog for more on this.

Sand Sculptures at Frankston

Tuesday, March 25th, 2008

Frankston in Melbourne, Aus. At the moment, have these big sand sculptures. We drove down for a look, yet decided at the last minute against climbing the giant sand castle to sing ‘Brand Nu Day’ and ‘You’re A Star’ to all the onlookers. Joking of course but could you imagine their startled faces :) It took them nearly 3 weeks to build these things, nice effort!

Disneyland Downunder

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

If you haven’t already heard the news? Terri Irwin wants to turn Australia Zoo into something like Disneyland. Which reminds me. Awhile back I put a up an acoustic demo version of a song dedicated to Terri and Olivia Newton-John. The song is titled ‘Cut Short’, it’s sort of a soft musical style ballad. You can get this for free by clicking on the ‘dowload the mp3′ link below. Or if you’re feeling generous today, try the donate link out.
