Sometimes You Gotta Pay Tribute To Your Musical Inspirations

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

Billy Idol is just one of many, yet probably the biggest and most exciting rock motivater for me. He’s got the lot! The look, the passion, the sex appeal, exciting songs!!! And the balls to have a go at making a living out of what he loves, without his fathers consent. Rock away Billy, hopefully until you’re 150 years of age and beyond. The older you get and still rock, the more inspiration you give to us music makers and fans. See Billy Interviewed  on Jimmy Kimmel. Billy’s latest album Devils Playground. D P’s Mp3. Who are your music fav’s?

Anyone Else Read a Book Called ‘A New Earth’?

Friday, April 25th, 2008

It’s written by an author called Eckhart Tolle. Am just in the middle of A New Earth at the moment. WOW?? Powerful eye, ear and mind opening stuff. Just lately, I have been crying out for a book like this. Then all of a sudden this book shows up, couldn’t have come at a better time. Has anyone else read this or currently reading it? What’s your thoughts on it? Love to read your comments about it. Ps.. if you get it from the library? Be warned!!! The waiting list there for it, is about a gazillion years loooong.

Actor Jim Carrey read it and mentions some good points too in this 1:40 min video (after you get past the ad they force you to sit through before you can select Jim’s video that is…, yet still definatley well worth watching)

A Blade Of Grass

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

Not sure what album this song will belong on in the future? It’s been sitting around for a few years now. ”A Blade Of Grass” is a co-written team. It is kind of a mixture of soft chords and gently sung verses. A build up to a strong mid-tempo rock latter half and winds back down to an almost gospel style, soft land ending. Something funny like that anyway. Probably a little bit different to some of the other stuff I’ve written.  Around 5 minutes in length. Hopefully one day I’ll get to record it professionaly for you guys.

Basically, if you can think back to how outdoor life seemed like when you were a little kid, seeing lady bugs and other little beautiful creatures like that. Then you’ll get the idea of this song.

Well, at least you can still read ‘A Blade Of Grass’ lyrics for now.

The Moon Is Full Of Itself - Yet it Still Rocks!

Monday, April 21st, 2008

That time of the month has come around again for the full moon to luminate our sky once more. Did you get a chance to notice it? If not, perhaps tonight you will. The full moon is currently just one of it’s phases.

Let’s not waste one more minute coz
I believe that everybody has
A chance to be whatever it is they want
Just find your switch and turn the light on

Sparkle like Marilyn Monroe
Dance like Madonna if you dare
Follow your dreams Elvis did
Kylie you’re an inspiration

And the moon always looks good when its full
Without a doubt you’re a star
In the night
So bright
Shine on
You’re a star
